FOTD: Crushed Metal Pigments

I've always been a huge fan of MAC's crushed metal pigments. They're super sparkly and totally fit in with the vibe from the Glitter and Ice holiday collection.

I wished the camera could've picked up the glitter better!

MAC Hyper Real Pressed Powder

So I was at the Cosmetic Company Store the other day and I found MAC's Hyper Real Pressed Powder in Warm Rose FX. I noticed how finely milled the shimmer was and was immediately in love. I am such a highlight/bronzer addict so I had to get it.

Hyper Real has actually been discontinued but for those who used to have it, how do you like it? What do you use it for? I can't wait to use it for tomorrow's look. Yay!

(Flash picked up a bit of the shimmer but it's much prettier in person!)

Review: MAC Lightful Deep Ultramoisture Creme

MAC Lightful Deep Ultramoisture Creme
1.7 fl. oz.
$38

"Lightweight gel-like cream. Provides a moisture-locking barrier for long-lasting protection. Instantly hydrates the skin for a smoother skin surface, and helps it look more luminous over time."
(source: MAC Cosmetics)

Over the summer, my skin was pretty oily. Nowadays I'm much less oily and have more combination skin. My t-zone usually gets oily first where my cheeks will be pretty normal to dry throughout the day. Since winter is approaching, I've been making sure that my skin stays hydrated and moisturized.

If you've been following my FOTDs for awhile, you'll notice that I used to swear by MAC Oil Control Lotion. I still love Oil Control but in the upcoming colder months, I've opted for MAC Lightful Deep Ultramoisture. I've been test driving Deep Ultramoisture for a good two months now (day and night) and I'm hooked. Let me share with you the many reasons why I love this luxurious cream.

I dislike moisturizers that feel like they just sit on top of my skin. Because this is a gel moisturizer, it absorbs into my skin very quickly. On top of that, the smell of this is so fresh. The Vitamin C ingredient helps brighten and tighten your face. Everytime I use this moisturizer, my skin feels firm and hydrated. *Pats skin*

I noticed that Deep Ultramoisture doesn't cause my face to get more oily. This is a good thing when you wear makeup over it since the makeup won't slide off your skin. At the end of the day, my skin feels better than it has ever felt!

Deep Ultramoisture is part of the MAC Lightful skincare line which honestly doesn't get enough attention. This line is great for all skin types. According to MAC, you will get best results if you use all four products from this line. I've used 3 of the 4 products from Lightful (the serum, cleanser, and moisturizer) and I can't wait to try out the Softening Lotion.

Disclaimer: I purchased this foundation and my reviews are honest, as always.

FOTD: She-Zam

This look was inspired by the She-Zam face chart from MAC's Glitter and Ice collection. (Sorry I couldn't find a picture of it online.) Anyway the collection is so fun and girly. I can't wait to create more holiday looks!
