My Review:
Product: 5 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Quality: 5 out of 5
Overall: 5 out of 5
Price: $22
Would I buy again? Yes

Initial Thoughts: I grabbed this because I was going nutso at the MAC Pro store. I really didn't have a matte bronzer so I'd thought I'd give it a shot!

Pros:
- Amazing blendability
- Versatility for many skin tones
- Matte finish is great for contouring
- A little goes a long way

Cons:
- Only available from MAC Pro
- Lesser known MAC product

Overall:
I've had it for over a month now so I feel like I can do a thorough, accurate review on it. I never considered myself a bronzer type of person but this product is seriously HG status!  Since I bought this bronzer, I haven't been able to put it down!

This is the only matte bronzer and one of the few bronzers I have. I can safely say that it's my favorite. I use it around my forehead and my cheekbones to create beautiful Kim Kardashian-esque contours. The matte finish creates that perfectly sculpted bone structure.

The best way to use this bronzer lightly is to use a brush like the MAC 129 or 116. For added depth, use a brush that's a bit more dense like the MAC 109. The Matte Bronze runs a bit reddish bronze which instantly warms up your face! It will add color and life into your skin if you're feeling tired. Because this product is highly pigmented, a little will go a long way. Love!

Disclaimer: Like always, my reviews are honest. I was not paid to do this review nor was the product given to me for free.

Favorite Products of 2010

I saw this post on Cheryl's blog and decided to give it a go! I'd love to hear what your favorite products are for 2010! I seriously can't believe this year is almost over!

Makeup
Foundation: MAC Pro Longwear Foundation is perfect for oily/combination skin types! Seriously one of the most amazing products released this year! Click here to read my review.

Concealer: I actually don't use concealer on myself but I love how MAC Studio Finish and Studio Sculpt looks on others!

Powder: MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder is perfect for me. It's not as matte as Studio Fix Powder but gives me more coverage than Mineralize Skin Finish Natural.

Blush: I can't just choose one but I think MAC Warm Soul is one of the best and most versatile blushes in the market!

Bronzer: I loooove MAC Matte Bronze Bronzing Powder. Hands down best bronzer I've ever tried.

Highlight: I love NARS Albatross (looks like a more finely milled version of MAC Vanilla pigment) as well as MAC By Candlelight MIneralize Skin Finish.

Eyeshadow: My new favorite is MAC Nylon eye shadow. Seriously such an amazing highlight color! I also love MAC Haux eye shadow.

Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Zero is a great one. I also love MAC Smolder for an intense dark black. I usually use MAC Blacktrack Fluidline for winged liner.

Eyeshadow primer/base: Urban Decay Primer Potion and MAC Painterly Paint Pot. I use them both almost everyday.

Eyelash curler: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler.

Mascara: MAC Haute & Naughty Lash. I love the idea of the "dual" wand and I get long, thick lashes!

Lipstick: This question is a toughy. I'd say MAC Viva Glam V and MAC Snob lipsticks.

Lipgloss: MAC Bare Necessity Dazzleglass. I'm almost done with mine!

Nail polish: I can't say because I do my nails once every blue moon.

Body
Shower gel/soap: I'm not picky with these but I hate bar soaps.

Body lotion/cream: MAC Complete Comfort Cream. This just came out but I tested it since a few months ago. I love how it feels!

Body exfoliator: I don't use one

Hand cream: MAC Complete Comfort Cream. I seriously use this on my hands and face.

Lip balm/treatment: MAC Lip Conditioner in the squeeze tube.

Perfume: Giorgio Armani Acoua di Gioia

Face
Cleanser: Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Oil Free Acne Wash

Toner/lotion: MAC Fix +.

Moisturizer: MAC Fix + and MAC Oil Control Lotion

Facial mask: MAC Volcanic Ash

Exfoliator: MAC Volcanic Ash

Makeup remover: MAC Gently Off Eyes and Lips Makeup Remover takes it ALL off!

FOTD: Silent Night, Holy Night

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! :) I hope you are all able to spend time with your loved ones. It's pouring here in San Francisco but I'm enjoying some Christmas day NBA games. I cannot believe 2010 is almost coming to an end. Where does time go? But I'm optimistic that 2011 will be our best year yet. I can't wait to share the next year with all of you. Happy Holidays!

This is the look I'm gonna wear to my family's Christmas dinner tonight. I wanted it to be fun but not too crazy. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for all your continued support. <3

Hepatitis B Calendar Shoot

I recently had the opportunity to work with Asian Week and SF Hep B Free on a calendar spread. The organizations aimed to raise awareness for Asians/Pacific Islanders to get tested for Hep B. Hep B is a disease that can lead to live cancer and liver failure. 80% of liver cancer is caused by HBV infection. For more information, please check out SF Hep B Free.

B Cocky Launch Party

So earlier this month, I was invited by the lovely Nymphette to the launch party of her new company, B Cocky.  It's no secret that I've been a huge fan of her work so I was so happy that I was able to celebrate this special night with her. Please check out the B Cocky site. They have some awesome feather extensions and earrings! They're so stylish and chic!

Me wearing MAC Pro Longwear Foundation

My Review:
Product: 5 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Quality: 5 out of 5
Overall: 5 out of 5
Price: $29.50
Would I buy again? Yes

Initial Thoughts: I loved the idea of a long wearing foundation. I am a foundation freak and always looking for the next best foundation.

Pros:
- Lasts all day
- Great for oily or combination skin
- Water resistant
- Abundant shades for different skin tones

Cons:
- Use Fix+ with this if you are more on the dry side

Overall:
I have been obsessed with this product since it first came out a few months ago. Although I love my Face and Body, I love Pro Longwear for when I need my foundation to last with minimal touch ups. When MAC said 15 hour wear, they really meant it! I can use this foundation without touching up for the whole day!

My skin is extremely oily in the summer and gets a little more dry during the fall and winter seasons. However, I see this foundation being used year round. I have been using it with Fix+ to retain moisture in my face since it's been getting a little colder now. First, I Fix+ my entire face after using the Oil Control Lotion, apply the foundation, then Fix+ again. I love how the product dries in a gorgeous, semi-matte finish and actually STAYS on. This is great for a night out on the town with your girl friends.

Another thing I noticed about the foundation is that it dries pretty quick. You have a decent amount of time to apply and blend but once it dries, it doesn't budge. To remove the foundation at the end of the day, I use Cleanse Off Oil.

I believe the foundation is pretty true to color in my opinion. For some of you, it may run just a little bit light. For the NC's, I noticed this foundation is less "golden" than the Studio Fix Fluid. I personally use NC25 in Pro Longwear and it's a perfect match. Since my forehead is a bit darker, I use the Matte Bronze Bronzing Powder to sculpt and shape. I will include a list of shades I use in different MAC foundations for reference.

Face and Body in C2/C3
Mineralize Satin Finish in NC25
Studio Sculpt in NC25
Studio Fix Fluid in NC20/NC25
Studio Fix Powder in NC35
Select Sheer Pressed NC25
Mineralize Skin Finish Medium/Medium Plus

Disclaimer: Like always, my reviews are honest. I was not paid to do this review nor was the product given to me for free.
