So I finally got the chance to recreate another one of Lady Gaga's looks from her "Telephone" video. This is my 3rd recreation from that video!! I hope you like it! I ended up changing my lip color because I didn't feel like wearing such a bold color when I was just having lunch with my mom. Hehe. Let me know what you think!

FOTD: Matte Smoky Eyes
For those of you who don't know, "smoky eyes" is a technique in which the colors are well-blended on the eyes and imitate the illusion of smoke. Smoky eyes is probably my favorite kind of look to do. There's just something so sultry and sexy about it. It's also a very highly requested look for many MAC customers.
So for my look, I chose all matte colors to use for my smoky eyes because it gives the best color payoff. The possibilities for smoky eyes are endless! You can use anything from black to white, shimmer to matte, subtle to intense. Just have fun with it!

Face:
MAC Face & Body
MAC Instant Chic (love this!!)
MAC By Candlelight MSF (highlight)
Eyes:
UDPP
MAC Soft Ochre
MAC Copperplate (crease)
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk (lid)

UD 24/7 Zero
Lips:
MAC Subculture
MAC Viva Glam V
Clear Gloss
And here is a picture of the two new sheertone blushes from MAC's Pret-a-Papier collection. I really love both blushes. They're perfect for spring and summer!

FOTD: Hello, Hello Baby, You Called, I Can't Hear A Thing
I really enjoyed Lady Gaga and Beyonce's "Telephone" video mainly for the different styles of makeup. Sure, the song is catchy but it's been played out. Anyway this is the look inspired by Lady Gaga during the sandwich scene. I love how dramatic her crease is but my version is definitely more wearable, especially during the daytime. You should try this look out! I love the blue eyeshadow with the bright pink lips. Hot!
Here is the original look:

FOTD: All Eyes On Me In The Center Of The Ring Just Like A Circus
So this was the look I did that's out of my comfort zone. I encourage you to do use a different technique when you do your makeup. You'll improve your makeup skills tremendously. It's also kinda fun to freak people out when I'm walking to work. Haha!
For this look, the dramatic crease is carved from the inner corner of the eyes instead of the outer corner. It actually looks quite interesting!! What do you think?

Cheeks:
MAC Sun & Moon Mineralize Blush
Eyes:
MAC Painterly Paint Pot
MAC Chrome Yellow (all over the lid and crease)
MAC Copperplate (inner crease)
MAC Vanilla (highlight)
MAC Individual Falsies (lower lashline)
MAC Blacktrack Fluidline (liner)
MAC Boot Black Liquid Liner (dots)
Lips:

MAC Favorites: Foundation Products
Here are the winners for my favorite MAC face products. As you can tell from the selection, I prefer light to medium coverage for my skin. Makeup shouldn't feel like a mask. Instead, you should let your natural skin show through.
Formula: water-based liquid
Coverage: sheer
Finish: Natural
I use this foundation on a daily basis. It looks very natural on my skin and never feels cakey. For everyday, I prefer something light and natural so my skin can breathe. This product can be used on both face and body. It has emollients, skin conditioning agents and antioxidants which improve the look of the skin without ever making the skin look overly made up.
Coverage: sheer to medium
Finish: Natural
This is great for touch ups or if you don't want to spend a lot of time on your foundation. This will give you sheer coverage but can be built up to medium if you use a couple layers. Mineral-infused water is used to create this product. It starts off as a thick liquid and then it is baked for 24 hours until the liquid evaporates.
Select Cover-Up
Formula: liquid
Coverage: medium
Finish: matte
This is my go-to concealer. I actually don't use concealer on a daily basis because I feel that foundation covers up most of my imperfections. However, I love using this in a shade lighter just underneath my brows. It instantly brightens up my eye area and gives me a brow lift. It comes in a convenient squeeze tube that is super convenient and fits right in your purse.
Blot Powder/Pressed
Formula: powder
Coverage: very sheer
Finish: matte
This is one of the most unique makeup products out there. Buff it over any areas on your face to give shine control without adding noticeable color or texture. It consists of mainly Mica which is a translucent mineral that is so finely milled it is practically invisible. Perfect for anyone who wants quick touch-ups without adding color or texture.

Tutorial: Soft Plum Everyday Look
This is a neutral everyday plum look that would go perfectly with any outfit and any occasion. If you decide to replicate this look, I'd love to see it so email it to me at lilmamaj@gmail.com and I will post it on my blog! Comment below on what makeup tutorial I should do next! Thank you loves!
Products used:
MAC Spike eyebrow pencil
MAC Showstopper e/s
MAC Painterly paint pot
Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Shroom e/s
MAC Haux e/s
MAC Sketch e/s
MAC #7 false lashes
Duo lash adhesive
MAC 224, 239, 217 brushes
MAC Pale Yellow e/l
MAC 188 (for blush and highlight)
MAC 187 (for foundation)
Maybelline Full n Soft w/p mascara
MAC Subculture l/l
Victoria's Secret Sweet Nothing l/s (looks like Subculture in l/l form)
Milani Buzz Off l/g
Let's get started!
1) Do you brows and apply your eye primer. Click here to check out my brow tutorial. I'm using MAC Spiked eyebrow pencil and MAC Showstopper eyeshadow for my brows. On my lids, I have UDPP over MAC Painterly Paint Pot.

2) Apply a matte plummy purple color such as MAC Haux eyeshadow in your crease using a fluffy brush like the MAC 224. Start at the outer corners and sweep inwards toward your nose.

3) Apply a shimmery off-white color such as MAC Shroom eyeshadow onto your lid using a flat shader brush like the MAC 239. Make sure you don't mix Shroom into Haux or it will become muddy-looking.

4) Pack on a deep plum color such as MAC Sketch eyeshadow onto the outer corners using a MAC 239. Do not get it above the crease.

5) Blend out Sketch using a MAC 217. Lightly sweep the color outward using light sweeping motions. Blend Haux into highlight color (MAC Shroom).

6) Apply black eye liner in the upper waterline. I am using UD 24/7 black eye liner in Zero.

7) Curl lashes.

8) Add falsies. I'm using MAC #7 lashes. Use any style you'd like.

9) Apply off-white eye liner on bottom waterline like MAC Pale Yellow eye liner. This will brighten up your eyes and make you look more awake. Add mascara on top and/or bottom lashes.

10) Do your usual foundation and blush routine and you're done!! I'm using MAC Studio Moisture Tint in Medium, Plum Foolery as a blush, and By Candlelight MSF for a highlight.
