February Favorites

MAC 188 Brush - I absolutely LOVE this brush. It's my HG face brush. This is practically your all-in-one blush/foundation brush. It's small enough to apply blush.

MAC Copperplate Eye Shadow - This is seriously one of the most underrated MAC eyeshadows ever. It's a unique flat greyish taupe color perfect for a smokey eye or a neutral daytime look. When I saw this at the counter, I just thought it was a boring grey color but I'm so glad I got one because it's absolutely amazing.

MAC Indian Ink Eye Shadow (PRO) - As you might know, I'm addicted to the MAC Pro store. It's like a candy shop for makeup lovers. This is a very pretty, dark purple color which is great for a dark smokey eye but can be used on your outer corners to deepen up any color.

MAC Coral Eye Shadow (PRO) - This is the most amazing coral color ever. I use it on my crease, lid, or cheeks! I have a feeling I'll be hitting pan on this one in the near future. If you're looking for a fun spring color, I highly recommend this one.

MAC Cubic Blush - This blush looks really boring and light in the pan but it's totally buildable. It gives me a healthy, fresh glow that isn't overpowering. The tinge of pink gives my face a bit of color especially when I don't get enough sleep the night before.

I just purchased the 188 yesterday and I love it!!!! I use it to apply my blush, and it works FAB for that. It really tones down the harsh color of the blush and it appears like you just have a nice, natural flush on your cheeks :)

I just got Copperplate eye shadow recently and though I haven't played with it much lately, I can't wait to. The texture is so smooth!

I have never seen Copperplate; now I want to check it out. I've read about it on other girls' blogs, and assumed it was a bronze-y color due to the name. I'm gonna scope it out the next time I'm at a MAC counter!

xx

thanks for the recs. is that coral color anything like paradisco ?

Jen said...

coral is actually matte and has no shimmer. paradisco has this sheen to it. they're both pretty but i prefer coral because it's more pigmented and looks great on the crease (or as a blush).
