Wedding Makeup Pictures

I did makeup for a wedding over the weekend in Southern California. I had so much fun transforming the ladies with makeup! They wanted something very simple and neutral with natural brows and flawless skin. I hope you like the photos!

The bride - she wanted soft liner and neutral eyes

Christmas Wishlist!

I could live without these items but if I could get my hands on them, I'd be so thankful!!

Black Blazer - This one is from Urban Outfitters but I just used it as an example of the style I want. I don't want the cropped kind because it makes me look really fat. I also prefer the inside to be lined with a cute silk design so when I fold up the sleeves, the color will peep out.

Black Over-The-Knee Boots - I don't want anything over 3 inches and I don't wanna pay more than $100. Haha I'm in love with the L.A.M.B. ones (not pictured) but I'll take the one in the picture below. It's from DSW and is a little over $100. Boots are sooo expensive!! I can't help buying them because they're my weakness!

MAC Cleanse Off Oil - I can't wait to go on my MAC shopping spree!! Crystal raved about it on her blog so I definitely need to check it out!! No mineral oil in it either -- even better!

MAC Gentle Off Eye and Lip Makeup Remover - I love this stuff!! The dual action makeup remover takes off even waterproof mascara!! Need to stock up because I go through makeup remover so fast!

Hi everyone! I've gotten some requests to do a tutorial. I'm not sure if I'm gonna do a picture or video tutorial but I wanted to know which look you guys wanted. Here are a few of my better FOTDs for you to choose from or you can suggest a certain look you want to see. I will try my very best to do a tutorial soon! Thanks!

How To Apply False Lashes on Others

Hey everyone! I decided to give you some of the tips I've learned from past experiences on applying falsies on others. It can be a bit tricky at first but you'll get it! Once you practice a few times, you'll be an expert! The concept is easier than it seems when you follow a couple of these tips.

1) Remove falsies from original box and place on the client's eyes (without glue). Measure the length of it and if it's too long (9 times out of 10, it's too long), cut the length of it to shorten it. This is very important because with overly long falsies, they'll look weird and end up poking the client's eyes everytime they blink.

2) Curl client's lashes and/or apply mascara before applying falsies. This helps the natural lashes blend in with the falsies a little better. You don't want the natural lashes to be stick straight and pointing downwards while the falsies are curled and lifted. It would look really strange in profile view.

3) Apply glue on the lash band and make sure you have an adequate amount on the two ends. This is crucial because the ends are the first to come off if the client sweats and/or accidentally touches his/her eyes. Let dry for 30 seconds until the glue is tacky. Fresh glue doesn't adhere to skin well so remember to wait till it's a bit tacky.

4) Tell client to look down while you are applying the falsies. I have learned from past experience that if the client closes their eyes, it's hard for you to see where their natural lash line is and you could potentially glue their eyes shut. That would NOT be good!! Use tweezers to hold the falsies and apply it as close to their natural lash line as possible but be careful not to glue it to their actual lashes! That would just hurt them when they try to remove it.

5) Use the end of an eyeshadow brush and lift/shape the falsies to the desired position while the glue is still drying. If you have some extra time, apply a bit of liquid liner along the lashes if the glue dries white. I recommend Duo lash glue because it's the best one I've ever tried and dries clear. Apply a bit of mascara to connect the real lashes to the falsies for a natural look. If you want to prolong the life of your mascara, you can skip this last step because applying mascara onto the falsies can cause them to be clumpy/messy. I usually never do this part.

That's it! Let me know if you have any questions or tips! I'd love to hear them.
