Review: Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2

Photobucket

Product Info: "Reveals healthier, softer, smoother skin. Allows for more effective moisturization. Allows makeup to go on more smoothly, and stay on longer."

Product: 3.5 out of 5
Packaging: 4 out of 5
Quality: 3.5 out of 5
Overall: 4 out of 5
Price: ~$20 for the largest size
Would I buy again? Yes

PROS:
- cleans dirt and grime you didn't know you had
- cooling effect
- good for acne-prone or oily skin
- good value for the price

CONS:
- can be drying on your skin
- strips all moisture from skin

Overall: This is a very potent toner. I saw Cheryl's review on it and she said it's like rubbing vodka on her skin which is true! It can be harsh for dry skin but when I used to use it regularly, I had really greasy skin. So greasy that I looked like a greaseball in photos. I had break outs usually on my forehead, around my nose so pretty much my T zone. My mom got this for me to use after cleaning my face. I used it once at night every night for about 5 years. I was pretty consistent. After a while, my skin got drier (which was good and bad). My break outs were reduced dramatically but my skin was always dry (unless I applied lotion). I have used it less and less the last year because it feels like it's stripping away all my skin's natural moisture. This can be a bit harsh on your skin so again, I would not recommend this for those of you who have dry skin. For acne-prone skin, you can use this a few times a week until you see results. After you wash your face and then apply this on your skin, you will see so much dirt on your cotton pad which is gross but kinda cool! You'll be like, "WOW! I didn't my skin had that much dirt!" However, don't get this stuff near your eye area, it will buuuuurn. If anyone decides to try it out, please let me know how you like it!

How I organize my brushes

The idea was inspired by the Sephora brush holders they have at the store. You could get the glass jars and vase filler (clear beads) from Michael's. It's pretty inexpensive (they always have coupons online), stylish and reduces clutter. =)

Face Brushes (sorry, they haven't been cleaned yet)

Review: TRESemme Tres Two extra hold hair spray

Photobucket

Product Info: "Wont give you a helmet head but will hold your style no matter what America's #1 hairspray refuses to let frizz take root, thanks to its humidity-resistant formula that keeps fly-aways smooth for 24 hours. An added bonus: It's water-free formula goes on dry, giving hair grip and control without stickiness for frizz-free hold. "

Product: 5 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Quality: 5 out of 5
Overall: 5 out of 5
Price: ~$4
Would I buy again? Fo' sho'

PROS:
- excellent hold
- no build-up or stickiness
- makes hair look soft and curls look bouncy
- very inexpensive

CONS:
- nothing

Overall: This product is sold everywhere like Target and many drugstores. It's affordable and works great. It holds hair styles very well without any build up. I use it after I curl my hair and amazingly, my hair is still curly after sleeping on it. Amazing product, forget the over-priced hair spray, this baby is awesome! I love this stuff! It works better than my Big Sexy Hair hair spray that causes build up in my hair. Go get yours!
