I love LA!

Hey everyone! I'm having so much fun here in LA this week! I'm doing makeup for Halloween and also visiting my friends and bf here. It still feels like summer here! I love it. Coming back to LA makes me miss it so much and reaffirms why I wanna move back down. I love the lifestyle in LA and I think it would help my makeup career tremendously if I lived there. Hopefully within the next two years, I can save enough to move to LA. :)

Anyway I'll be posting some pictures up soon once I get them uploaded and whatnot. Sorry I haven't been blogging but I hope everyone's weekend was great!

Upon receiving this award, I must list 6 interesting facts about myself.

1. I love sushi! I would eat it everyday if I could!
2. When I was learning how to type, my mom gave me a typewriter and told me to copy the dictionary. I am a really fast typist now!
3. I love ice cream, chocolate, anything sweet and junk foody. :)
4. I don't know how to ride a bike because I never had one as a child. I grew up in the city and was always driven places.
5. I love food, makeup, clothes, shoes, and music, in that order. :)
6. I have been to Europe, China, Mexico, and Canada

Island of the Sequined Love Nun by Christopher Moore - I'm currently reading this book. It's great! It was recommended to me by my friend Natalie.

Bebe puff - I got this during Bebe's raffle. I didn't win anything but I thought the puff was cute. Reminded me of Old Hollywood and those perfume atomizers women used to use.

Juicy Couture jewelry box
- I got this box when I bought my lip gloss ring from Sephora. I love it! I store my jewelry in there when I go on trips. It's so handy and cute!

MAC Hollywood Nights lipstick - I love this lipstick! So glad I was able to find it for a great price. I'll do an FOTD soon.

Beauty Blender
- Blends my foundation like a dream. I hate how it takes a while to wash out but it's worth it.

Tweezerman tweezers - Need I say more? It's pink and it plucks out my stray hairs so I can achieve neater looking brows.

Too Faced Teddy Bear Hair Kabuki brush - Softest thing EVER! I use this to blend out my foundation or blush. I find myself touching this for no reason sometimes because it's just THAT soft!

How To Improve Your Makeup Skills

1) Post FOTDs (Face of the Day) photos on makeup forums such as Specktra and MakeupGeek. You will get a lot of expert advice from all the lovely ladies and gents. I learned so much from looking at other people's FOTDs. You'll learn new techniques, color combinations, and so much more!

2) Clean your brushes! I can't stress this enough. This will make all the difference in the way your makeup turns out. When I first started using brushes to do my makeup, I would NEVER clean them. Now that I think of it, that's just so gross! There is so much bacteria that gets stuck in there and also deposits of color which can turn your looks really muddy and not attractive looking. I wash mine once a week (at least) and wipe it down with wet wipes or some napkins between each use.

3) Apply makeup on your friends and family, pretty much anyone that is willing to volunteer their face for you. Makeup is an art and the face is the canvas. Take pictures of your finished work and notice your improvement. There are no two faces that are exactly identical so learn to do one look on many different people. It's harder than it seems but you'll get the hang of it after a few tries.

10 Random Facts and I'm tagging YOU!

So here are 10 random facts about me:

1) I have been playing the piano since I was 7.

2) I am one of the least pickiest eaters you'll ever meet. I eat almost anything (except olives and really strange stuff like fried tarantulas and stuff).

3) I am mixed with two different ethnicities. Try to guess which two. :)

4) The first time I ever cut my hair was when I was 7 or 8.

5) I can be super loud or kinda shy depending on who I meet and how comfortable I am with them.

6) I love eyeshadow the most out of all my makeup.

7) I love dressing up and taking pictures with my friends!

8) I graduated with a BA in Business Economics in 2009.

9) I started school a year earlier than most kids. I entered kindergarten at age 4.

10) I love puppies. Wish I had one! :(

I tag everyone who hasn't done it yet and wants to do it!
